About us
The Extreme Sports Therapy Unit provides students with a way of developing their practical sports massage skills in a real working environment and it doesn’t get any more real than an all night event in the pouring rain and bitter cold. It also allows students to develop life and employability skills, so important in today's job market.
The unit usually contains a mix of students, some of whom are fully qualified and working to gain further experience whilst still at College studying for a Foundation Degree in Sport Health & Exercise; and of course the Sports Therapy students.
Whilst we have had some generous funding from the College we are essentially self funding, therefore any money made through donations is invested back into the business. With this in mind we are actively seeking sponsorship to help us make ends meet and improve the student experience. So if you are in a position to help, we would love to hear from you. In return we can offer national exposure and brand promotion at sporting events throughout the country.
We are geared up to service medium to large events and we like to focus on Extreme Sports, hence our involvement with Thetford Mountain Bike Racing (Thetford MTB).We can operate up to 12 treatment tables and if required we can operate in multiple locations at the same event.
The Unit also has the ability to be completely self-sufficient. We have a field kitchen and camping equipment and the only thing only thing we need is access to water and toilets (Though a hot shower is always appreciated).
Our event portfolio is growing rapidly. As well as our ongoing commitment to Thetford MTB, we will again be attending events for CRC (Chain Reaction cycles).
