On the 15th of September we were at Brands Hatch, for Cyclothon UK run by former England Rugby Union star Victor Ubogu. The event comprised 2 endurance races, an 8 hour and 12 hour ride round the circuit. 32 teams took to the track to raise money for over 20 different charities, and what a fantastic job they did, in what was a truly gruelling challenge.

The Sports Therapy Unit was there in our usual supporting role, providing pre and post event sports massage, and given how busy we were I think our services were well received. 
There was a host of Rugby stars in attendance, Rory Underwood MBE, Mark Regan MBE, John Callard, Phil De Glanville, Ian Hunter, Craig Chalmers, David Hilton, Rory Jenkins, Doddie Wier, Chris Sheasby, Paul Rendall, Nigel Redman and of course the man that organised the event Victor Obogu. 

In the last 5 years the Unit has done 40 odd events around the country and this one was by far the best, thanks to the excellent hospitality offered by Victor and his team.
The following day we drove to Ruthin in Wales for the last in the Chain Reaction Cycles events. As ever this was an extremely well run event and though the weather threatened to spoil things we got away with it and returned to Norwich with our canvas dry – always a result.
